Momentum Capital appoints Eija-Riitta Korhola as board member of Clean Electricity Generation (CEG)

Summary

Today Momentum Capital, a leading private equity concern, announced the appointment of Eija-Riitta Korhola as board member of its company Clean Electricity Generation (CEG). She is also appointed as an advisor for Momentum Capital, where she will advise Seaborough and CEG, who are part of Momentum Capital’s clean tech portfolio.

Eija-Riitta Korhola, who holds a PhD in Environmental Politics, has more than 15 years of experience in European lawmaking, especially in the field of energy, climate, environment and the internal market. Having written and defended her doctoral thesis on climate politics (The Rise and Fall of the Kyoto protocol – Climate Change as a Political Process) she has a unique combination of academic research and political decision-making. Prior to becoming a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) in Brussels – where she was awarded with the MEP Award in the category of Energy in 2009 – she worked in development aid, journalism and business consultancy. She is a professional board member in companies concentrating on clean tech and a senior fellow at the Brookings-Tsinghua Center for Public Policy, a partnership between the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C. and China’s Tsinghua University in Beijing.
